Electoral Math Update: McCain must now convert Blue States
This morning, Chuck Todd (political director for NBC) officially moved VA and CO into the blue column (CNN had moved VA over a week ago). This puts Obama at 286, well above the 270 threshold.
The interesting thing is that the McCain camp is going after PA, a state that has been considered blue by most polls for weeks. The reasoning for this is that GOP fell behind in ground game in VA and CO, and they don't have the infrastructure in place to compete there. However, as Todd pointed out, even if McCain were to take PA, as well as FL, OH, NC, IN, and MO, Obama only has to take NV to still reach 270.
Unless a miracle happens, the race is over.

I am going to personally wrassle every last one of you PUMA mofos who votes for McCain because Hilary lost the election.
That's right - Hilary lost. It wasn't stolen from her, it wasn't taken from her because she was a woman. She didn't run the right campaign, and she lost. If you don't believe me, read this: http://www.politico.com/relentless/.
In 2000, I was a Bill Bradley guy. I was sick and tired of the Clinton policys - the centrist DLC positions were, in MY opinion destined for failure. At the time, Gore was very much a continuation of those policies, and I wasn't a fan. Then Bradley lost. And I voted for Gore.
I voted for Gore because he would have been a billion times better than Bush. It was evitdent in 2000 that Bush would not make a competent president, and that Gore would be compentent if uninspiring.
Then - and I bet a lot of Hilary supporters join me in believing this - Nader got in, and Gore ended up losing largely because of Nader. Lots of people - myself included - blamed Nader. Lots of PUMAs blamed Nader.
Now, because it's the horse THEY are backing, PUMAs are threatening to vote for McCain. They can't get over their petty little egos, hold their nose, and vote for Obama, because he was not their first choice.
Get. the fuck. over it.
However you feel about Obama, if you are a Democrat, you have to believe that he will be a damn sight better than McCain. Still, the PUMAs will vote McCain, and try to take others down with them because they are babies. Whiny, poopy-pantsed babies.
So, PUMAs: If you vote for McCain, you best be ready to wrestle because I am on the turnbuckle and my flying elbow is coming down on your head.
