Cock-Fighting Banned!!!

Yes, up until today, cock-fighting was actually still legal in Louisiana. People of New Orleans could be sipping on chartreuse colored juleps and smoking on fine southern smuggled cubans while watching a legal cock-fight. For those of you who don't know already, I am not talking about the expression relating to men in a frat-house competing for a "hot chick"... I am talking about the original "cocka doodle doo"! A cockfight is a blood sport between two roosters, held in a ring called a cockpit. I hope I dont strike the waddles of any animal rights activists out there... but some people find this thrilling and it is all over legally for this sport. It is a pretty heinous sport, if you can even bring your self to calling it a sport. I don't really even have much to say about the whole matter... I have never attended an event, seen one live or recorded, or even put much thought into the existence of two roosters going at it in a dirty pit. I just heard it on the radio this morning that it is officially banned and now if you want to see a live cock-fight... you will have to visit China Town in San Franciso for an underground event... or somewhere else you might be able to catch a hot tip-off of an event colser to where you call home.
