Why does Morgan Freeman have to help some white person in every single movie he does?

The common stereotype in hollywood (even to a certain extent today) that the good white man comes and saves the day for the black people.
Ironic how a black dude seems to be set to save the entire nation. You know who I'm voting for :P.
I watched the Shawshank Redemption dubbed into Thai, with English subtitles.
It still kinda sucked.
@halon: BUT his character THOUGHT he was helping some little white blonde baby. SEE?!?
Morgan Freeman, help out your brothas every once in a while. When have any of his characters gone in and, like, helped an African American young man from some impoverished neighborhood afford to go to college? NEVER. No. Instead, he drives around some old white lady.
Will Smith is the same way. Like, ever since he left West Philadelphia (born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days), he's just like, "YAY CAUCASIANS!"
I'm for real with this, people. White consumers LOVE light-skinned Black men. They do. You'll notice that, for instance, Eddie Murphy is not on the same likability level as Will Smith or Morgan Freeman. People watch Eddie Murphy for a different reason. No one would believe Eddie Murphy could be God, but they totally buy that Morgan Freeman could be. I am totally bugged by this.
So the Boy and I are debating this. I say that if I can see your freckles, you're light skinned. He says that you're not light skinned unless you're Lisa Bonet.
In any case...

because he isn't racist.
