Today I realized that I've spent the last 15 years unsure of whether or not I like The Smashing Pumpkins. Perhaps it's because I like a lot of the songs, but can't stand Billy Corgan. One of my friends called him "Powder" when she ran into him.

Why get hung up on Corgan? I mean, I think it's possible to divorce a person from the work they do.

That said, I won't see Boys Don't Cry-or anything else that director does, because I read an interview with her that made her seem like a bloodsucking fuck.

So I get it.

15 years ago i totally fell in love with the Smashing Pumpkins and listened to Siamese Dream for a year nonstop. I pretty much fell out of love just as quickly once I heard Bullet with Butterfly Wings though, and nothing since has even come remotely close to what I used to love about them.

Jennatar, is it too late to get that story?
