ok ok ok. i am thinking (THINKING) about getting a digicam. i use a mac and am sick of things not working with it. please suggest a [relatively] CHEAP but [relatively] GOOD digicam for me. thxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I completely agree with Des on this. Canon Digital ELPH is the way to go. It's the only brand I buy now for point and shoot.

Just go here and find one that matches your desired price range: http://www.google.com/products?q=canon+digital+elph
They all have similar interface design, so it boils down to how much you want to spend, and that will usually determine what max resolution you get and maybe a few other bells and whistles. All of them in this series will do you just fine though.

I have a Fuji point and shoot which I love, but I agree, do the Canon.
