I referred my ex for an open position at work. My current gf also works with the same company but at another store, was this a bad idea?

my ex of 3 years and myself are friends and we get along ok, its been just over 2 years since we broke up now. My current gf and I have been together for 8 months, she wasn't too stoked meeting my ex a few months back.

Anyway, my gf and I work at opposite stores, and my ex would probably work at the same store as me or another store opening soon.

I got weird looks from managers today after my ex left the interview. Am I digging myself a really shitty grave?

I think you'd be well served to tell your current gf what's going on. If she finds out from others that you've referred the ex, she may well start wondering if something's afoot.

i dunno, i think it depends on how closely in contact you will be with her while you work. my ex boyfriend lives next door to me and thats totally cool, but apparently he might be subletting from my roommate this summer and that kinda weirds me out. mostly because he's dating an old friend of mine that is ironically no longer a good friend because she falsely accused me of trying to go after her exes. but i think it'd be a bit strange no matter what. so i think it all depends on interaction level.
