Blog hosts/software/etc. What do you use? I need one but know nothing about what people use and what's best.

Wordpress is fantastic, so I second that nomination. I use it for my 'work' blog. For personal, I use Tumblr. Tumblr is good when you don't have much to say. but you want to say it in a lot of different ways.
I'll add a third vote for wordpress. Really easy to use, and looks great.
@centropomus: I did that for 5 years. My blog was built by me editing a bunch of PHP files and includes. Unfortunately, if I wanted to update it, I had to edit about 18 files by the time I decided to switch it over to wordpress.
What a pain in the ass. It wasn't difficult, it just made it really easy to procrastinate doing it until I had huge gaps in my archive from not updating or not linking everything up.
Plus, I don't think a blog really counts as a blog unless there's an RSS feed and commenting facility. Tumblogs have no commenting, but they still have RSS feeds. Most of my readers read my sites by way of RSS readers.

I have several blogs.
I only use Wordpress. Yeah, it's that good.
