haven't posted in awhile but it's a simple outlet for my self-reflective moments.
this one is hard for me to post here for some reason even though i share a lot of personal info about myself here. i guess i'm proud of the fact that i can have honest talks with myself & show those deeply personal moments to the world regardless of anyone's possible judgements. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQSAyTdgKPw&list=UUPoUfObzTMrd39ykxTZr9dQ&index=1&feature=plcp
@bizzy Well thank you for sharing such a personal moment on my little ol' thread. I don't think I would be able to show myself in that state, but if I could I would definitely be very proud of it. I usually end up hiding in my house until I'm back in a better mind set which is why i spend most of my time alone in my home because life is all about the ups and downs. Downs seem to last longer. You are my hero Bizzy! Continue with your self reflection and growth, that is such a great quality to have.
What I'm proud of is www.facebook.com/mmmbakedgoods Mainly my main photo. It was my first real wedding cake I did and it just reminded me that as stressful as the food industry is, I'm good at what I do. I am a perfectionist, but I really just plain loved how that wedding cake turned out and that is rare for me. To actually be proud of something I did. Too bad the guy delivering it messed it up, but I still got my pictures and my money. There is only so much you can do once your work of art is out of your hands. Also, the quality of my photos got better as time went on. It's kind of neat looking at some of the really old ones and then some of the last photos I took. I know they still aren't professional looking, but they are good enough for being on my "business" facebook page.
@Caution: that's gorgeous, and you're very right to be proud of it. How long does it take to make a cake like that?
@ -j: Well I started two weeks before the wedding just dying all the gumpaste and fondant the colors I needed, then a week before I started making all the leaves, flowers, twigs, etc. out of the gumpaste. Since I don't do this for a living, it takes me several hours, but that's between all the prep and baking and waiting.
@ om nom nom: lucky fish.
@ hey_oblomov: Thank you!

i will as soon as i get home!
