Thanks to what someone said on GTI i think my summer project is MAKING FANCY POPSICLES
Replies
i think if i ever have a solo album i may call it "Making Fancy Popsicles"
Yo I read a review of that Zoku thing, and it apparently works astoundingly well. I think it was a Cook's Illustrated review, even, not just some chucklehead.
I have a set of popsicle molds, just the old plastic kind, that I've used a couple of times. I've made juice pops, and also chocolate pudding pops. They normally come out kind of crystalized, though, which is unfortunate. The Zoku may prevent that.
Ethan. Do you wrap the molds in plastic? That should prevent the frosting.
thanks for the tips!
the prob i have with the zoku is 1.) cost (50 bucks!) 2.) IT ONLY MAKES 3 AT A TIME! and you don't have anywhere to store said pops (unless you buy the zoku carrying case.)
if i was a bored housewife with kids I'd get the zoku!
Maybe you should make popsicles made out of VEGETABLES. NEW THING!
(terrible thing)
MWAHAHAHAHA. SHATTERER OF DREEEAAAMMMSSSS
if y'all ever visit my neck of the woods, i'll take you all for locopops!
oh, and also, they totally make stick-less popsicles (i.e., a block of flavored ice) that include meat for dogs in the summertime at locopops.
There's a popsicle food truck down here that goes to all the meet ups. POPSICLES ARE OLD MEME TWIGZ.
But whatever I read on a review of that Zoku thingie that you can actually make like 9 at a time before you have to re-freeze the thing, so that's not so bad. Certainly better than only 3 at a time. I guess you'd have to buy extra sticks though?
IDK LOOKS KINDA COOL YOU SHOULD BUY IT TWIGBY
One of my dogs loves fruit popsicles. He'd eat a whole box if I let him. He also used to eat mangos straight off the tree the little monster.
well there's 3 slots and you can make 9 popsicles before you have to freeze it again
but since there's no way to STORE the popsicles (unless you buy the zoku carrying case) you have to eat them then make another 3

also because i saw this at william sonoma even though I'm willing to bet it's probably "not worth it"
