So, like, I know I kinda hinted that I'd come around more often. But that was kind of a lie, I'm afraid. THAT being said, how'd your November go? Did you all finish your novels?
Replies
@Eva: Didn't I see you this month at some point? Why was I not on the list? I am sad.
@TWIGBy: Do not blame you. It's a huge time-sink.
@-j.: I'm not back back. I think my relationship with GTI is check in every once in a while.
As for the writing, I am on page 111 of 120 as of last night. And with very little cheats, as there's only one full-page spread and one two page spread in the entire thing. The rest of it averages about five panels per page, and lots of (kidna crappy) dialogue.
@Bustie: see what happens when you don't let us nail your feet to the floor? A little foresight, Ché.
But well done on the writing, that's impressive as hell. Which concept did you end up writing?
While I didn't do NaNoWriMo (and probably never will, just not my bag), November was pretty awesome: turned 30, had a great party, got hired by some tech company that works with fruit, had a semi-successful date, and got to see the most important people when I went home for Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday.
Granted, the next two weeks will suck ass: 24-30p of papers due by next Friday, plus a final, and that's just school. Toss in work, the hassle of getting Christmas gifts on a grad school budget, and a root canal on Friday, and really, mid-December can't get here soon enough.
@-j.: Small Time San Francisco Mage/Graphic Designer versus a haunted wall of 1970's wallpaper. There's lots of cussin' and drinking and smoking and getting high and sex and nudity, but very little straight up action.
@Jay: Yeah, but it's a monster of a commitment. Even my thing, which was novel lite, still took up loads of my time.
@Bustie - that was a coy, poor attempt to say I got hired by Apple. Not my smoovest moment.
Well.
Tech companies and startups work with everything these days.
Grats, yo.
Man I'm not talented enough to work in a tech startup, but thanks for the gratz.
Also, lulz @ Del Monte IT.
I work at a tech company too now! well since june. but whatever. its still new to me!
I kind of started my small writing goal but that definitely fell to the wayside. So, no. No novel. Not anywhere close to one.
Good food, good friends, wishin' I was out west, hospital scares with gran.
brain just won't seem to go back to the writing place it was in this time last year. It's getting irksome.
I didn't do nano this year, but my husband has been getting published left and right recently, so I take credit for all of that.
Crazy job life. I have a job offer in Portland, so I'm about to start living on a plane for a week until I decide.
It's nice when people come back, if only to check in. Coming and going.
howdy there bustie!
awesome job with the writing! every time you writers start talkin' about writing I immediately get this skit stuck in my head:

A Sat...
A Saturday...
@li'l p: that was awesome, and that is pretty much exactly what it's like.
@Chrome: oh dear...hope your gran is okay now!
Ohy goodness! You & Allison & Fife are totally on the list. All the aforementioned folk I was lucky enough to see more than once though. I missed out on you all compared to them. That's sads too.
Hug hug!

I didn't participate in the writing bit. Also, to be honest Im glad this month is nearly over.
Highlights this month included special funtimes with Mizsarah, Gabe, -j., Mace, and Nomi. And getting to see Ducky for Thanksgiving.
