One thing these people are doing wrong is using public trackers. I realize that private trackers aren't "foolproof", but they do go a hell of a lot farther to protect their users and data. I have 4? private trackers that give me everything I could possibly need for movies, teevee, and music.
I don't have a problem with downloading media, and I honestly think at some point, it will be the only way you can acquire media.
I got a letter from the business software alliance once. It said PLEASE DELETE THE OFFENDING MATERIAL AND CALL YOUR ISP. So I burnt it to disc and then deleted it. I called up the ISP and the girl said now that I deleted it, she had to read me their policy. I said, "You really don't have to."
"No, I do."
"Really? I won't tell."
"Yeah, sorry..."
"Ok fine, but I'm not going to listen or enjoy it!!"
"HAHAH, ME EITHER."
