It's only a $0.25/hr raise, but it gives me the power to access all the stuff in the computer and be at the store alone, so they can start training me for the BIG promotion coming soon (in the next month or so).
Incidentally, in order to get this mini-promotion, my boss had to demote one of my coworkers, who already hates the shit out of me.
His conflict management solution? "So, uh, obviously I'm not going to be scheduling the two of you to work together anytime soon."

I also found out that once I get the big promotion, they're going to be sending me off to help open a new branch of the store in the town that I live in.
One of my other coworkers was supposed to go (she lives here too), but they decided to send me because I apparently earned it more.
I think my boss is trying to set me up so that everyone I work with except him hates the shit out of me x10. I had a big moral dilemma about "Well, does this mean I'm stepping on people's faces on my way to the top?"
