Let's talk about our different approaches to dating. How do you meet people? Are you looking for a relationship or fun? Were you friends with them before you started dating? What, do you think, is the best strategy?

I just try to gauge a person's vibe/energy. If a person's vibe attracts me, I'll go up without any lines really and just start a conversation with the mentality as such:
"Hi there, I'm me. I like myself and I like my world, it's a pretty cool place. You seem like a cool person for this reason and I think we could have a good time if we hung out. If you're down, cool! If not, it was nice to meet you. :)"
Going into new situations with that vibe has led to great results.
@teejay: that is a really great way to go into meeting someone! I'm going to have to remember that.
@daisy: Yeah, I got it from a friend and it feels great to pay it forward. :)
See, I love to meet people. However, it seems like lines are drawn as soon as it comes to a romantic interaction. I could blame it on my fatness or my looks or whatever, but I see fat and/or ugly people in relationships all the time. I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong.

In Uni, I met people through clubs and activities and through friends. I am generally friends with people before I start dating them. Not very close friends, though. I don't really have a strategy. I like fun, and I like relationships.
