what's a comfortable reading position?

Once you have relaxed and caught your breath, continue on your way with determination.
Sounds like Zen meditation instructions. I find reading meditative, but it's hard not to fall asleep if I'm comfortable. A comfortable chair and a cup of coffee helps.
i always end up stretching out and propping up on my elbows. this is like, not comfortable for long. my favorite reading chair is not in my room, so i never use it for reading anymore.
i really wonder what causes people to attack when you feel your worst. today is going to be hard. i'm just gonna look straight ahead and keep going i guess.
yea- my roommate does that. she did the funniest thing the other day. She was reading the Canyon Ranch Cookbook on the toilet.
at that point i was like, "you are my fucking hero."
Oh, I stretch out and lean on my elbows too, but it really hurts my arms after a while. Then I flip over and read on my back with lots of pillows to prop me up. And then my cat comes and lays on my chest between my face and my book so I can't read.
I've realized there's no good way to lay down and read a book. Same with video games. There's just no way to lie flat and hold something in your hands.
It's either find a comfy chair, an audiobook version, or give up.
Some combination of on my back or on one side, usually switching between them because I frequently read for long periods. I apologize if that overheard came across more salacious than it really was.
I just sit up on my bed with pillows up against the bedframe to make it comfy, innit.
@kir$ty! that sounds like a good idea- it's like custom making a comfy chair. I need to hone my bolstering skills. also, i love that you said innit.

...don't waste energy just fighting the emotional tides. Instead, choose a route that enables you to get out of the tumultuous currents completely.
