I went to the ER today, because I thought I had another embolism. But it turned out to be a false alarm.

aw, man.... damn. sorry on the one hand, yet glad it was just a false alarm, sir.
oh my gosh, Jay, thank goodness you got it checked out anyway! make sure you stay careful like that... sending you lots of healthy, happy thoughts *hearts*
I'm glad you're alright-but I hope you're able to work out what may've caused this episode.
I think it might be that I have a touch of the flu and it's just making me a bit weak.
I'm glad you're okay! Better that you didn't risk it, since we'd like to keep you around a while.
Echoing the thoughts of everybody here, I'm glad you're doing better. Keep us posted on how you're doing man.
I'm glad to hear that it was a false alarm; hope you get over the flu quickly.
whew! i love the sense of relief when scary things turn out to be less scary. yay!
good thing you played it safe, for sure. too many people wait too long.
not to sidetrack the thread, but speaking of people who wait too long to go to the doctor, isn't it amazingly great that it won't be too long before 'not having insurance' will no longer be a reason people do this? i'm so psyched about this.
stay healthy, Jay!
Thanks, everyone, for the well-wishes. It was scary for a bit, but I think it turned out okay. :)

I had a couple of episodes of shortness of breath, it wasn't as bad as my real embolism, but I didn't want to take the risk.
I'm not sure what caused it, though.
