You can watch up to three Christmas/holiday movies each season. What movies make the cut for you?

i dunno if i REALLY count die hard as a christmas movie. but yeah, that would be high on my list.
i watched national lampoons again the other day, just never did it for me.
i'll take christmas story, die hard, and elf i guess. that third spot could be up for change at any moment though.
ok well then if die hard counts gremlins counts too and that is taking the place of elf.
yeah Gremlins is SO a christmas movie too, it's probably lurking in the top 5
Nightmare before Christmas, Home Alone, A Christmas Story
Do I win or do I win?
Love Actually, Nightmare Before X-mas and Meet Me In St. Louis.
I hate Christmas, so for me this is about as far as I can go.
I would like to replace my answer....
Love Actually, Home Alone, Elf
Thank you Hena.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
home alone
elf
I LOVE those movies - I want to watch elf right this second!
not even one 'it's a wonderful life'? nothing before the 70s? wow.
and i'll add 'elf' and 'a christmas story'. bandwagons worth jumping on.
christmas vacation
christmas story
elf
and runner up
nightmare before christmas
Die Hard, FTW. Scrooged. Bad Santa.
I saw some of the 4th Die Hard movie on cable last night. I swear, it wasn't even the same character. It was like Bruce Willis was just like, "umm, where do I stand? When do I get my check again?"
Fuck this thread I pretty much love every Christmas movie ever
definitely scrooged.
after that... i don't know. i get cynical easily towards holiday stuff.
the original grinch who stole christmas
and
conan o'briens potato christmas special.
Scrooged
Trading Places
This one Soviet movie I watch almost every year, since childhood, because it's tradition
White Christmas, all the time, every year. The other two change with my mood that year.
Definitely Gremlins. The other two I'd have to deliberate on having further researched the options, though Die Hard, Trading Places (Dan Aykroyd's Dirty Santa alone means it's worthy of a shot at a spot) and Scrooged would all be in the running. Along with (the horribly commercial) Santa Claus: The Movie, on sentimental grounds.
Rocky IV and Invasion USA would probably not feature.
I actually love a lot of holiday movies. Scrooged, A Christmas Story, Home Alone, and Love Actually are all up there with my top 3. Nothing beats Charlie Brown, though. Best movie soundtrack ever.
Is Hook considered a Christmas movie? I can't remember but i love that movie!

The Ref
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Then I'd flip a coin to choose between claymation Rudolph and Die Hard.
