ok, I think I like this song.... but her name makes me feel like she should be a amy winehouse parody act.... but her voice is pretty, she sounds a bit like that broad in the squirrel nut zippers...

Yeah she's compared to Amy Winehouse, but only coz of her voice really. It's her actual name (well Virginia), so I guess she didn't have much choice... The stuff off her album is quite different to her EP. Search for SOS by her on youtube. Or Under My Skin. Or These Roses. They're more folky. And ther is better songs on the album, but they haven't been released as singles as of yet.
She's totally world famous in New Zealand (it happens a lot to our artists)

IT is a good phrase, we use it a lot. It's the slogan for a soda here, called L&P. It stands for lemon and Paeroa. Coz it's lemony flavour, and it's made in... Paeroa. Oh yeah...

Although, to me the phrase has a kind of sad background. Alluding to the fact that even though we have some really good bands in NZ, we're too small as a country to support our own artists, ending up with them being HUGE in NZ but literally unknown to the rest of the world. That's my take on it anyway.

Don't fret new zealander, I am from Ohio, I am used to being thought of as living somewhere dinky.
