I'm going to see Say Anything tomorrow night. Dress emo Becca now!

Hmmm...what about neon green tights, black shirt dress and pink keds? Big, big neon earrings optional.
oooooooooooh say anything. thats probably the most emo thing i like. and i really like the fact that the lead singer is just a crazy fucker.
I love that song. That and "Alive with the Glory of Love" its a love song about hiding from Nazi's. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THAT??!
So the show was good times.
It's a music cliche to claim to like a band's early works. Say Anything - the exception that proves the rule. I really did not like the pre-touring, internet release songs ala Dave Matthews. The later stuff is faster, funnier and just better.
There were very few emo kids or scene makers. Instead, this was a frat boy "bro" show. Lots of guys trying to groove ala 50 Cent to the faster, almost punk, songs. The crowd also did not know how to handle a pit; people didn't know how to catch fallers and rarely helped people up. There were also two fights during slow songs.
Beyond that, I fell in love with another band tonight. Biffy Clyro was one of the 3 openers. Amazing. Their CD sold out at the merch table 15 minutes after their last song. Just phenomenal. It was interesting to watch the crowd react. The older (25+ crowd) just went nuts. The youngins (12-early 20s) just kind of watched. I came home downloaded their last 3 albums. There wasn't a single song that I didn't like and many songs I loved. Apparently, they are the British Nirvana but they are so much "weirder" than Nirvana.
So I bought my second band t-shirt...ever.

Skinny jeans, Cons, band t-shirt, bangs.
