I'm stealing Ashitaka from Princess Mononoke. The guy can take people's heads off using just a bow and arrow while on horseback and covered in demon-snakes.
And Light Yagami, because he's a clever, cold-blooded vigilante with an attitude and a book that kills people.

Ok I think I decided on my ultimate anime character team
L (Death Note) - The brains, sitting back and controlling the team. Light maybe arguably smarter but L is more of a proven leader and is able to keep his ego in check to assist others.
Washu Hakubi (Techi Muyo) - Unbelievable genius able to create technology from almost anything. Provides the team with equipment.
Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bbeop) - The team's "every man." Can fight hand to hand, is a marksman of some note and a pilot.
Edward Eltric (Full Metal Alchemist) - He can touch things and CHANGE THEM TO WHATEVER HE WANTS! Also a martial artist and hand to hand weapons expert of some note.
Lt. Commander Justy Ueki Tylor (Irresponsible Captain Tylor) - You can't beat this man's luck aura. No matter how bad things get he will ALWAYS make sure shit gets better just by being there.
