what happens with degrees in the north american part of the world? do you get like, degrees of degrees (i am hilarious) like we do or do you just get 'yay you are now a graduate'? ahem.
@kirsty!: I believe in the US they have Latin honours..."magna cum laude" and "summa cum laude". In the Canadian university I went to, one either graduated "with distinction" or...uh...not.
But I'm reading about the British system...and see now that his achievement is impressive indeed. Hurray :)

Um, you take a bunch of classes and once you've accumulated enough classes in a certain subject, you get a degree!
