hell, you need all that just to get through the flashback of spock's death at the beginning!  that was a hell of a thing when spock died.

and yes:  sarek is so rad.  i also greatly enjoy his bit parts in ST IV.  and he was fantastic as a guest star on TNG too.

question:  since finding spock's magically rejuvenated body on genesis was a totally unexpected bonus... what exactly had they planned to do with his katra in the first place?  is there some katra repository where they keep the mind of almost every vulcan who ever lived?
