I have been fighting serious urges to make the new version of Goteam look more like Tumblr. Argue for or against here.

as do i. it's an easy setup, i just wish there were more options to the page layout, so you could have the last 25 entries show up on one page or something like that.

Yes.
I think what I am thinking about is taking away the white background and having the posts float in little bubbles of their own. Also, possibly rounded corners.

I also whipped out a version of the profiles that would theoretically allow people to customize the actual HTML, ala Tumblr themes. I don't even know if people here have that desire.

themes! yeah, that's the ticket, and floating posts! as for rounded corners, is that still the shizz design-wise?
I'd say anything that steers away from Kottke's redesign would be good.

If you provide customization, Reamworks or Corey will break the site again. :P
And rounded corners is a great idea so we can't hurt ourselves on sharp edges.
