I haven't seen any American Idol on the news lately. Thank god. I am glad Sanjaya wrecked that show. I don't like the show because it is trying to shake and bake artistic talent. Look all artists need to spend time to hone and sharpen their skills. Either by going to school or cutting their teeth by actually preforming their respective art. But this forgery of real talent is just robbing us of a natural process where by the cream naturally rises to the top. This show just exploits talented artists.

I agree. It's a train wreck. But what do you expect from popular music? Most of it is crap. However, some talented have been at the top of the charts throughout the ages. I just haven't seen any new greats there in a looooong time.

OK, so I just got done watching this season's top 24 and top 16 performances.
*BARF*
For most of them, I didn't even make it past the first three horrifically flat notes of their coma-inducing performance. These singers are awful. There isn't one of them that I would hire as a backup singer for Soul Camp. In fact, the AI backup singers are better than anyone in the competition. This has become a joke!
What amazes me is the low standards that show promotes. Any vocal major out of Indiana or Juliard could out sing any of them. Heck, I think even our own @soulcamp could.
