Hey, Jane's Addiction:

http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=114540 Too little, about ten years too late. I don't care if you finally wised up and got Eric Avery, the real balls of the band, back.

I often feel like I am the only person who liked the Deconstruction record.

But yeah; it's hard to care about what they're doing.

ccc: It's hard for me to get excited since I saw them both way back when.

But really, Jane's Addiction just really squandered their collective talent. And making a record without Eric Avery? Ludicrous.

Superion: I dunno if I've heard that album ever. I think I heard it once or twice. Maybe I should give it another listen. And yeah, after the first Porno for Pyros I couldn't care less about Perry Farrell and his schtick.

And it's too bad because I was frantic until Ritual de lo Habitual came out.

I read somewhere recently that Jane's wrote all those songs in about an 12-18 month period, for Nothing's Shocking and Ritual de lo Habitual. And that was it. One creative period.

And then vast amounts of suck.

I can't say that Deconstruction was excellent, but there were some really fantastic moments on there. 'Single' might be one of my favorite songs about relationships ever.

I've always hated Jane's Addiction, even back in the grunge days. Their, "OMG STEEL DRUMS IT'S LIKE WE'RE REGGAE" thing especially always annoyed me and the singer'ss voice is shrill and annoying. Porno for Pyros was a lot better but still kind of meh for me.

You know... that is not half as horrendous as it could be.

I heard that they went on vacation in the middle of a recent reunion tour or something...

Amazing.

I'm into it.

But I was stupid young when I listened to jane's addiction. so it's not like I have any strong associative memories other than dancing around my living room like an idiot.

seemingly: Yeah, I just wish they had gotten to it sooner. Say, 1997.

nomi: Hey, I saw them in 1989. They make me feel ancient, but Navarro is about my age, actually.

Perry Farrell, however, is close to being able to be a member of the AARP.

Good footage.

Perry Farrell sounds like he's in 2nd gear.
