In other news, I haven't showered in four days. (I fucking hate being wet when it's so cold outside.) What's the longest you've gone without showering?

3 1/2 days, but I was traveling. I slept on three airport floors and was in three different different counties within 30 hours. Oh yes, and the clothes (other than my socks and unders, thank god) I was wearing hadn't been washed in 3 weeks. So was a big ew ew ew ew ew

Once in the middle of a quite chilly UK winter our hot water went kablooey and none of us showered for a week until the lazyarse landlord finally got of his backside and fixed it.

I can't really remember skipping more than a day or two in recent years. But when I was little my sister used to tell me that I was smelly to get me to shower. I would just forget until she would remind me after a few days. I was 10, there were other things to do.

I am the same way in the winter. I wait until things get dire before I subject myself to the humiliation which is showering in cold weather. And you can't even make the water as hot as you would like because then it dries out your skin. It's miserable.
