Oh my goodness, why did I ever think calling my mother would be appropriate at a time like this?

ugh that is why when i spoke to my mom i said outright "we're not talking about that."
Ugh. I love the, "Are you better yet? Oh. You'll be fine."
YES I KNOW I NEED TO BE SAD RIGHT NOW OK
Ouch. You're allowed to be upset. For whatever reason, once you're an "adult", you're not allowed to have feelings, according to mothers.
My mother is lovely, but when I want to vent she thinks I am asking for advice. Come to think of it, I am pretty sure I am the same way.
My birth mother did that shit last time around.
'It's been two weeks, aren't you over it already?'
Man, my mom never pulled that crap. Apparently I'm not in the majority. I'm sorry that she's doing that. I can only imagine the magnitude it would make you feel worse. *HUG*
I want to beat him up too.
This is why I don't talk about personal stuff with my parents. They have their way of seeing the world, and it's not a very comforting view for me.

"You can't let a man get you this upset, you need to just move on already."
"Mom, it's been THREE DAYS."
etc. etc.
