Good news for those of us who love nerds and the social inept.

I know many, but they are in Japan.

Haha. Yea, they don't need help. I swear, cross into Japan and every goony ex-pat becomes a god. Wait, goony ex-pat men.

And not the good kind either.....

Sadly, more like the worship of an ill-behaved movie star.

Japanese women. As a general rule, my friends and I have found them to be pretty despicable.

Yea, I will give the short answer since I need sleep.

a. I have seen, and heard, much of Asia has an obsession with the 'new'. Western men offer the potential for new.

b. Hollywood media is force fed here and the West is pretty idolized.

c. The strongest reason, I believe, is the state of the dating culture in Japan. It is a country in major social transition, particularly where marriage and love are concerned. People have recently begun to marry for love and that has thrown the entire dating scene into chaos. Men in Japan tend to be forced into behaving like cogs for the greater society and never really learb ti socialize. Further, with arranged marriages, they never really had to. So, Japanese men are shy (a very positive trait in Japanese society, but not so much when dating), they don't practice chivalry, they don't do outward expressions of emotion and most of all, there is nothing showy/flashy/exciting about being courted by a Japanese man (this is from experience and word of mouth). Western men tend to offer all of those things.

Ok, I've rambled a bit and that was probably more than you wanted to hear.....

Please don't judge me too harshly, but these "despicable" Japanese women sound extremely enticing.
