Cyber Goggles, memory enhancement tool of the future

So you wear these goggles and the camera attached to them feeds video into a computer on your back. Image recognition software then tags videos according to the objects it recognizes. This allows you to search for certain terms like "keys" and immediately see a video clip from the last time the device saw your keys. I've wanted this exact system for years!

Well not exactly, in my imagination the device would actually be a small praying mantis like robot which would ride on my shoulder. It's built-in wireless communications would store and index my life-stream on an external server so I could access it from anywhere. Optionally it could be equipped with an array of R2-D2 like tools and weapons in order to protect me and assist in my adventures. Of course, it would need a gentle synthesized voice in which to say "I don't know if this is such a good idea Jesse"

My fantasy life is quite a bit like Anime.
