Wait, what the fuck is this? I swear I've been living under a video gameless rock for the past few months.
How lame that they didn't bring Locke for this.
Well, maybe it's not so lame. ~*~mysterious~*~
Yeah, they only did the main characters from all the Final Fantasies except XII.
For like, 2 years, there are no new video games for me to care about and play, and then late this year everything comes out on top of each other.
I know! I'm overwhelmed. I still have three games that I have yet to play, plus about three more that I have yet to buy.
Final Fantasy and Phantasy Star are the only reasons I have to play a PSP.
Because, y'know, they're about [ph]fantasy. I like [ph]fantasies.
All of those have better console counterparts.
Except Rainbow Six. That hasn't been a good game since like 2.
The original 2, not Vegas.
Wait no, Syphon Filter blows now too. Terribly sad, considering how big my boner was for the first one.
Games just aren't made like they used to be.
They're very different games than the consoles, though. For example, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops takes place a few years after MGS: Snake Eater, when Big Boss leaves Foxhound.
He was the bad guy in the very first Metal Gear for NES. Also, he's Solid Snake's genetic benefactor.
Technically, no. More like genetically engineered during the embryonic stage.
one cant really compare a home console to a portable. they're pretty different gaming experiences. even if i dont take my psp to the damn park, it's nice to grab it off the table and go sit in bed and play while the gf watches tv or reads. home consoles are great, but sometimes i dont want something where im "investing" in that sort of "now im going to place my ass in front of the tv and delve into something serious while tuning out the rest of the world."
i mean, sometimes im into that, but less than i used to be, i think. (this is also why i dont play on the pc anymore - amongst other reasons).
i could have gotten a 360 and i didn't. maybe eventually. the idea of playing Untold Legends (which is no masterpiece, i admit) for a few minutes here and there was and is appealing to me. also, ive always been a sucker for compact things in any form/function.
and yet, the DS is too limited in terms of graphics, etc. when i get a new piece of armor or a new weapon, i actually want to see it equipped. it's a fine line, i suppose.
and i actually really like the control scheme on most psp shooters. it's crazy, i know.
El Indio seems to have actually convinced me to start playing my DS again.
I agree about the control scheme. At first I was thrown off by it, but it made sense the more I used it.
it grows on ya' real quick. one has to become more appreciative of lining up shots by strafing.
and in other shooters, i will admit that i like target lock. i dont really care if it makes it "easy"
been a fan since Metroid: Prime
what matters (as always) is, is it fun?

This is more geared towards Navin.
