Oh, so I got my GRE Lit scores in. UGH - AWFUL. :(

I know. :/ I got 50% of the questions right. Too bad I got almost 50% of the other questions wrong. :/ Stupid -.25 per wrong question.
@OMM - It could. Hard to say. Only two schools wanted the subject test scores. Thankfully - my new first choice doesn't. So hopefully Utah will just take me and I won't have to worry. However, if I'm on the cusp at Denver or Houston - I'm sure the score could get me the axe. Or they could notice the general trend that I do bad on GRE tests but make good grades and I'm a good writer.
All so obnoxious. Some schools are really gungho about GRE scores. I wanted a 550 [which is 50% precentile] and I got a 450 [which is 17th precentile]. But, I shouldn't really be surprised because that was about the score I was getting on my practice tests. At least it wasn't like the 350 I was REALLY worried about getting.
i did really wicked awful on the GREs too. didn't take any subject tests... verbal was ok but my math score was so pathetic i didn't want to submit it to schools, so i took the MAT instead and did much better. i guess the schools you're looking at probably require the GRE lit test though.
oh, i somehow missed the post where you said your first choice doesn't. i'm not awake yet, sorry
the MAT = most awesome test ever. it's only an hour and a half long and you can guess on EVERY SINGLE QUESTION. i love analogies.
@sbox: check out one of the few threads of mine I haven't deleted. The one marked "VICTORY IS MINE!"

Oh no!
