last year i caved in and watched it quite early in november; at least it's NEARLY december now.

chris has only seen it once and doesn't remember it. EXCITING

Carlocakes said, (41 days ago)

Fuck, I've been watching that all summer since I found the DVD for $3.99.

kirsty! said, (41 days ago)

WHAT? i suppose that's okay, but i like to save it for christmas. best enjoyed in december

Carlocakes said, (41 days ago)

The best part is when he surprises them at the wedding with all the musicians.

One December I watched it seven times. Shall I go for a new record??

No wait, the best part was when Colin Firth was proposing in broken Portuguese.

i saw it on a plane once. I wasn't really paying attention.

kirsty! said, (41 days ago)

i LOVE it when he proposes and her dad kisses him on both cheeks, hahaha. i also love the whole keira knightley's husband's best friend story, it's bittersweet. ALSO when hugh grant bumbles down the street knocking on peoples' doors and singing carols, HAHA.

xop: it's impossible not to pay attention! it's amazing!

oh man i'm going to watch it when i get home.

No wait, the best part is when the kid was eluding the cops at the airport to catch the girl that he loves before she leaves for America.

My favorite part is when Bill Nighy does the Bauhaus song Christmas-style.

Carlocakes said, (41 days ago)

Wait, the best part is when that guy brings home Denise Richards and Shannon Elizabeth.

Chrome Raven said, (41 days ago)

wait, there's an official time for watching this movie?

because I pretty much watch it a lot, and leave it at that.

kirsty! said, (41 days ago)

chrome: i just think it's best to watch it in the lead-up to christmas; you know, cos the film's about the lead-up to christmas. i like to savour it every year, i'm quite sad.

kirsty! said, (41 days ago)

art: GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Chrome Raven said, (41 days ago)

That makes sense. Thanks for informing me!

I shall watch this movie later on.

low-spoke said, (41 days ago)

what? best part of this movie doesn't exist. It's all good.

kirsty! said, (41 days ago)

one of my favourite bits: when hugh grant does a ridiculous hand gesture and says "hi" in a hilarious manner when he's passing natalie in the hall. chris made me rewind it so we could watch it twice.

bold as love said, (41 days ago)

I'm coming over to watch.

"...To me, you are perfect."

Garak said, (41 days ago)

i've been sort of leaning toward watching that and "Planes Trains and Automobiles" all week leading up to Thanksgiving. the only reason i didn't pop it in last night, truthfully, was that i just felt like it'd make me feel a little sad. and, well, a little gay.

even though I honestly think Richard Curtis is a genius.

kirsty! said, (41 days ago)

garak: yeah, last year i was going out with a guy that made me feel insecure and confused and horrible, and i felt alone and i cried the whole time i watched it. this year chris has his arm around me looking all sleepy and content (which is what i am too), awww.

Um, there is no season for Love Actually. I always watch it at my best friend's house who's dad will say for weeks afterward:
"Love actually......IS all around us." Need to go buy right now.
