i hate blue tongue lizards.
@artschooled - my grandmother hates them too because they look like death adders and she almost got bitten when she picked up what she thought was a lizard. How can you hate a face that like though?! I talk to him/her all the time when I'm watering the garden. Good listener :D

I'm not sure if it's an Aussie thing ben but silverbeet is more like spinach ... as far as I know there isn't a big tasty root vegetable under the ground. Silverbeet is incredibly easy though. Just have to make sure it gets plenty of water on hot days.
The worst thing about bluetongues is that they're great at biting, but haven't quite figured out the whole "letting go" bit.

That grasshopper picture is kind of fantastic.
