My proofreading skills are without compare. Except when I'm writing up job letters. And then, my ability to find errors is non-existent.

Damn. I've sent out at least five letters with (mostly) minor errors in phrasing. Still, minor errors can sink my battleship.

You'd think I didn't want a job, or something.

It's impossible to edit one's own work unless substantial time has passed. My dream is to have a competent yet smart-assed yet lovable copy editor at my beck and call.
