GTI has very little info, so I talk to people all the time without knowing anything about them.

I'm 30. I live in Venice, CA. I have two dogs. I'm an editor for TV. I also perform and teach burlesque. I have a boyfriend whom I live with and two dogs. My favorite color is purple.

Hi, you don't talk to me all the time, but I will tell you anyway.

I'm 29. I live in an 18th century shack outside of Allentown, PA. I have a fish named Gordon, mice in my walls, and squirrels in my chimney. I'm in charge of pre-sales engineery types for a communications contractor. I have a girlfriend who I've been seeing for six months. She's on this site, though neither of us are particularly active. I have a hankering for Tang and my socks are grey.

Hey there.

I'm Robby. I'm a 24 year old gentleman living in Los Angeles. I work as a screenwriter semi-professionally (I don't earn enough to live just yet, but people still pay me for stories I make up. That still weirds me out.) and am finishing up getting my BA in Film Studies. I'm nice and friendly and don't care for Los Angeles that much.

Hey you!

I'm Oz. 24 years young. Living in Oakland, California, born in Southern California but raised in Arkansas. I'm a desk monkey during the weekdays and at night I can be found at rehearsal for my crazy ass band (no, its not an Ass Band), or photographing concerts for local music blogs, or stretching my new found cooking skills. On the weekends I'm either performing for my crazy ass band, windsurfing, teaching windsurfing, or kite surfing. During the off season I'm hiking and biking. I have a lovely talkative cat named Monkey who loves her tummy being rubbed, and squirrels that live on my roof. I love traveling, tattoos and sauerkraut.

My name is Marie and I am a very confused 28 year old Filitaliano. I live in the 'Nard and am trying to move to LA and find a job in one of the worst times of our nation's history. I LIKE A CHALLENGE! I have a lil blog where I laff about fashion, film and other delights. I still am not sure what the UNIVERSE has in store for me but I will be scavenging through life's many constant LOLS in the meantime. I am working on a stylist portfolio though! I think that might be my calling.

Moose Elaine said, (64 days ago)

Hey-o!

I'm Mace. Yes, that really is my name, and no, it's not short for anything. I grew up in San Jose, CA, and finally escaped almost two years ago to San Francisco. I'm the only straight person in my building. I live with Jack, a crazy cat who needs a lot of attention and spends his time systematically knocking everything I own off shelves. I'm an organic chemist by day, and a Flamenco dancer at night. I've been dating my boyfriend for almost a year and a half.

Moose Elaine said, (64 days ago)

Marie! Did you see the list o' "Yes on 8" donors? There were WAY too many people from Camarillo. It broke my lil heart.

Henrietta said, (64 days ago)

Hi Ariel Sara, nice to meet you and stuff.

I am Hena (long e sound), I am 21 years old, and I go to school a lot and I go to work a lot and I also get yelled at a lot. I'm studying graphic design, I work at the Apple Store as a concierge, and my parents are asian buttholes who keep forgetting that we live in the United States of America. I have a lot to say but I never say it. I am very shy. I also have a weird sense of humor because I will make fun of almost anything and seeing someone laugh and smile makes me feel good deep, deep inside. I am addicted to hoodies, and I am proud of myself for not buying any hoodies today. I have a green room, a penguin (from Animal Crossing) cell phone charm on my phone, and a lot of string cheese. I like to draw and doodle and write myself notes. I like hitting people, especially one person, but he's made me very angry as of yesterday and now I am going to hit him real hard so he gets bruised. I think I have carpal tunnel, which is lame. I like to sing in my car because no one else can hear me. I like shoes, especially if they are comfortable. I really like clothes from American Eagle Outfitters, and I love walking and walking and realizing that I've been walking for forever. My favorite color is orange. I like fish, butterflies, kittens, ferrets, and most of all dinosaurs. If I had a super power, I'd want to be able to fly, and I'd want wings. If I was an American Gladiator, my name would be Thor. If I had a million dollars, I'd be in my yacht right now.

Agent Lover said, (64 days ago)

@Mace - I only checked Ventura! I will NEVER go to LASSENS HEALTH FOOD AGAIN those fucks donated 25k. Camarillo is no surprise. It's very conservative. WE WILL OVERCOME.

kirsty! said, (64 days ago)

hello! i'm kirsty, i'm 18 (19 sooon!) and i live in glasgow, scotland. i'm pursuing a degree in journalism & english at an amazing uni, although it's not been easy- i'm repeating first year after having been forced to drop out last semester (bad case of glandular fever.) i have a boyfriend called chris and it'll be our 10 month anniversary in a few days... i also live with two of chris's friends, tom and jamie, in a cute little tenement flat. living with boys is messy and loud, but ultimately hilarious. what else? i write for a couple of music websites so i get loads of free stuff, which is nice. i like dancing and silly drinking games and addictive television and getting my monthly copy of 'elle' through the door and spending too much money in topshop. i suppose that's it!

Molly Malone said, (64 days ago)

h'lo! don't think you know me at all, but i've been gone for a few months

My name is Caitlin, and i live up in the great Canadian north in the country's capital. I'm in the middle of getting a business degree, and am very active - i horseback ride, distance run, play volleyball and squash all on a regular basis. I'm outgoing and shy all at the same time, want to travel more than anything (too broke), love animals (all of em) and have none (stupid lease)

Dr. Awkward said, (64 days ago)

@mace: I grew up in San Jose, too.

-j. said, (64 days ago)

Greetings!

I'm -j.

I'm Canadian.

arielsara said, (64 days ago)

Aw, j, tell me more!

Thanks everybody for participating, I love this!

Marie, I didn't know you live in the 'Nard, but I do know you will make an awesome stylist.

Mace, before I majored in Theater I was really considering chemistry, but I couldn't imagine all the lab time. Unless we get to blow stuff up. But then that could be used for evil... so...

And all you people I'm just meeting, welcome and thank you for participating!!!

Garak said, (64 days ago)

I'm Garrick

I like football, and porno, and books about war.....no, wait...

for serious:

I grew up in Mass.; went to school in upstate NY; took an internship in LA, and have been here ever since. I'm an only child, and a single guy. i am fascinated by creative people, and the creative process; if you make things, i'm bound to at least respect/enjoy talking to you. i'm 34, and all-too-aware of my own mortality. i grew up in a really tiny town, and it's taken me a long time, sadly, to break out of being an introvert and into being someone who loves talking with people, hearing their stories, traveling (i'm concentrating on the US at the moment), etc. i currently develop and produce material for film production company, with an eye toward wanting to write-create-produce my own stuff, a la JJ Abrams. i often wonder what my life would be like if i didn't love film, both out of a sense of "what else would i love?" and where would i even be, given that the decision/choice to live in Los Angeles was largely dictated by my choice of career. i sometimes feel like i have selfish tendencies, maybe because i've devoted the bulk of my life toward achieving my own career goals, and often try to go out of my way to somehow compensate for that. i hate doing things twice, i hate saying things repeatedly - one of my biggest pet peeves in life. i despise people who achieve success only by stabbing other people in the back, or stealing their ideas, or somehow being perceived as attractive/compelling/cool enough to fall up. i am not religious, but have lately considered finding myself some spirituality to help me deal better with the "all-too-aware-of-my-own-mortality" thing. also, I like Canadians.

Xopchipili said, (64 days ago)

Hi! I'm Jesse. I live in a small basement apartment in a big confusing town full of people called New York. I'm working as lawyer, but a trained chimp could do my job. I have a cat named Lillah, who I don't take good enough care of, though she is my world. I read more than I should and not as much as I'd like to. I watch more TV than I'd like to and not as much as I should. I am a fan of the both the Yankees base ball club and the Yankee candle company. I am in a very strange headspace lately.

pepperoni said, (64 days ago)

@garak: i know what you mean about looking for some spirituality. i have been considering finding a nice small church full of hymn-singing hat-wearing ladies.

arielsara said, (64 days ago)

peps, garak: weird, me too. Maybe we should all find a place and go together.

erica said, (64 days ago)

Hello! I'm Erica. I'm 26 and I live in St. Paul, where I work as an ESL teacher. I'm currently in a middle school but I'm being moved in a few weeks to an elementary school against my will (grumble grumble). I live with my cat and am often a homebody during the week. Then I get bored and crave interaction. Some of my hobbies/interests: baking, making crafty shit (but I haven't been doing a lot of that lately, boo), reading, running, dancing, and internetting, of course.

Skanko said, (64 days ago)

im craig. i am 26 and i live in lawrenceville nj. i went to Penn State and graduated with a degree in business logsitics. i'm looking for a new job right now. i have a lovely red beard and a bastardly black cat. Right now I'm bored a lot.

Garak said, (64 days ago)

@arielsara/pepper - yeah, i dunno what it is...well, ok, i kind of do. a lot of personal stuff. and a real growing sense of...well, i'd like to think there was something else in this life, or beyond it, to make the thought of it ending seem more bearable, fulfilling. i really respond poorly to organized religion, though i respect anyone's right to it, and to their own beliefs. i've always just been more skeptical/realistic (i consider myself a realistic optimist). but, without getting to heavy into it, life is marching on at a rapid rate. so much of my time is consumed with work, and work-related endeavors. you start to get to that "is this all there is?" point atop the mountain, if you stop and look around, take stock of it all.

also, just as a pure stress-relieving/state-of-bliss thing, i could use a little spirituality in my life. i can get stressed pretty easily, very likely because at the opposite end of the spectrum is the noraml everyday me, which i'd like to think is a pretty easygoing, mellow guy. when i get stressed, it literally affects my body, and that alone kind of worries me. that i'd be one of those people you hear about "stress takes years off your life", etc.

touchy-feely new agey people kind of make me smirk, in the sense that, again, what can i say - i'm a rather cockeyed optimist. pure religious devotion of an unadulterated variety, or a rather hippies laissez-faire "hey man, we're all gonna go sometime..." - neither of those is me, nor suits me.

but i have considered, say, Buddhism. which i guess isn't just something you can "pick up". but i've thought about it a lot lately, as i am seeking something that gives me a platform on which to balance. a sense of calm. a place to go to when things are stressful, or whatever.

i spent a week in COlorado w/my friend this summer, at her parents' house in the mountains and explored Colorado and Boulder, and it was wonderful to a degree, but too hippie/crunchy granola ultimately for me. BUT....the whole fact that there is a thriving Buddhist population there, and their philosophy and sensibility, really appealed to me on a certain level.

is it me or do a lot of GTI-ian dudes have not just beards, but red (or red-ish) beards? not that there's a problem, but.... You guys should form your own Nordic Viking Rock Band, Eric and the Reds or some such thing.

Skanko said, (64 days ago)

@garak - i know that ethan has a reddish beard (and a fine one at that) and me. WHO ELSE IS RED BEARDED?

Garak said, (64 days ago)

arielsara - what kind of TV stuff do you edit?

Garak said, (64 days ago)

Skanko said, (64 days ago)

Hello! I'm Julia. I live in Central New Jersey, and am a senior at the State University. I recently turned 21 and enjoy ordering drinks legally. I'm in the English and Philosophy departments, I'm writing a thesis about Gothic fiction and the vampire in literature with a concentration on Twilight (nerd), and I tutor freshman who are taking Expository Writing. They frustrate me, mostly. I cannot wait to graduate but am simultaneously terrified of having to you know, get a job and function as a not Ramen-subsisted student.

I enjoyed meeting you but wish I could have chatted with you longer. I enjoyed your purple fringe.

Once again people are kicking
the usual junk
allow me, yes me
the A-R to the T
to bring in some funk

I got two times the fluency
and two times the soul
I flow for days in English
y tambien en Español

I talk like I write
100 words a minute
If there's a karaoke nearby
you know I'm up in it

I can sing
I can swing
(dance, you pervs)
in a ballroom
a bedroom
and a boardroom
My words always pack a sting

I gotta do some writin'
so I'll leave GTI to fightin'
like Chuck Bass and JoBros
Ding-Dongs and Oreos
Hot girls and momos
anything else you need
drop a note and lemme know ...

The Humpty Dance? Ariel, you wound me.

chuck bass said, (63 days ago)

I'll just go with the line that's been in my myspace's about me since day one:

You can call me Johnny.

·If you don't already know everything about me, fuck you. Try harder.
·I'm not here to impress anybody, but kudos if I do.

Rude, but accurate.

Bonjour. I'm Sheena (or to my customers Sheena Las Vegas) and have been out of my mom's womb for 24 years. I grew up in a rural area on the Ky-Tn stateline and still have a bit of an accent. I've been homeless but lived in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Honolulu. I now live in MO and work for one of the best companies in exotic dancing. I'm a bartender, though I've given a few lap dances too. I like watching movies, cooking for friends, and making other people happy. I year my heart on my sleeve because I love with all my heart. Currently, I am heartbroken because I had a moment of stupidity mixed heavily with insanity and now the guy who's presence can make me smile and my soul soar isn't speaking to me.

arielsara said, (63 days ago)

Art, doesn't the humpty dance start with "Stop what you're doin', cause I'm about to ruin"? It got in my head after I read your far superior lyrics.
