Those are peculiar statistics though. Or are they? I know nothing about web traffic, but that seems strange. Maybe you could offer x-ray specs or decoder rings to new members to lure the strangers out of the shadows.

Instead of Google ads, I put ads for my other sites. I think that will end up benefiting me way more than crappy text ads for Viagra.

Google Analytics won't account for a member using more than one computer, whereas member logins will. I imagine the majority of us are accessing the site from two or more of these magic boxes.
Of course, I don't know how you're doing you traffic testing.

i don't understand any form of traffic analysis. alexa is especially mystifying though. i think it needs to start labeling its data with, like, words that mean stuff.

Wtf, I have no idea how I even ended up here at this point in time considering that last post before mine was 287 days ago. God damned Phoenix Force taking me through space and time like some random ass bullshit...
This is kind of weird, actually. Google Analytics says we have about 900 returning users, every day. My internal stats say we have about 300 members who have visited within the last 15 days. That means there are roughly 600 regular lurkers.
