The Super Mario Brothers were actually plumbers in the movie.
And Max Payne…it has guns. The game had guns, right?

Yeah, the premise in the movie is that they're on some kind of narcotic that makes them go totally fucking crazy and hallucinate, which is when they start seeing the valkyries and shit.
