So I survived my 10-year high school reunion.

I kept referencing Romy & Michelle with one of my friends... I wanted to do the dance, but she wasn't feelin' it. I did bring a flask in for old times sake, though.
oh, man, i think my mom wants me to plan my 10-year h.s. reunion.
any pointers for non-suckitude?
And I saw tragically few beards. The men of my year FAIL at facial-hair-growing.
nice!
i wish i'd've gone to mine...i'm not quite sure now why i didn't other than that i know i was working my ass off and my mind was elsewhere.
on the plus side, i have reconnected in the past few weeks with some people - girls mostly - from my class, which is nice.
i'm, let's see....16 years graduated now? holy bajesus.
any good stories from yours? anything weird or funny or tragic? (besides the lack of beards)
@Mannie: If you hadn't been busy RAWKIN', I would've dragged you along.
@rink: Good DJ, drink tickets, good buffet food and loads of tables to sit at. It was outside, and was a bit cool, but in AZ cool is 70 degrees. I'm a wuss, what can I say.
@Garak: Weird - the kid who went to Harvard to study poetry ended up a hedge fund manager in Manhattan. The genius turned out to have a brain tumor - it was removed, and now he works for Microsoft. Tragic: Loads of people have had parents die. Oh, and one guy's mom dropped on him that O HAI, BTW you're adopted. She told him at age 26. He and his sister ARE brother and sister, but both are adopted. Crazy.
Funny: I was very nervous, so I drank quite a bit and ran around like a total spazz, which lead to a friend commenting that I'm exactly the same. Which I'm not, not so very much. At least, I don't think so.
I wish I had a reunion I could go to. Unfortunately they don't have reunions for the dropouts. I'd probably just show up at Pagne's reunion but there were only like 10 people who graduated. It would be faster to just look them all up on myspace to see what they're doing now, heh.
Isn't it fascinating how badly some people age in a mere ten years?
Bizarre. I was doing the Romy & Michelle dance with someone on Saturday night, while singing Time After Time.
There was also some drama about the location, and the "popular" people brought up the fact that they were popular in high school and everyone else was just bitter. It was kinda sad.
@Chanelly - You can't just go to the one for the class you would have graduated with? I know people who have done that.
Mine was in September and it was pretty good. Mostly people I didn't care about, but some others I was really pleased to see. The weird thing was how quickly you revert to feeling just like you did in high school.
The drama geeks (my herd) took over one area and had a great time together.
On a sad/weird note, there was one chick who came alone, sat alone, and didn't say a word to anyone. I was a bit worried about her opening fire on us, but she disappeared without descending into scary violence.
@snowsuit: Exactly. I had a few hours of reverty-feeling, and afterwards I was really glad that I had gone, but really really glad that it was OVER.
@snowsuit: Our school had only like 100 people in it. My friends were in all the other grades but my own. So that's why going to Pagne's reunion would make more sense then my own graduating year.

Did you tell people you invented post-it notes?! :P
