Anyone else listen to music when they go to sleep?
Replies
i used to go to sleep with the tv on, several years back, but then i got this horrible, seemingly permanent kink in my neck from falling asleep on the couch every night and waking up at like 5 am and crawling into my bed.
@gravel blood - what do you listen to? (i can't imagine it's Jay Z, is it...?)
no. i listen to music barely audible. sometimes I'll fall asleep watching a dvd on my compy, but again, barely audible. but I have specific playlists set aside for that very thing.
Lately I've been falling asleep watching Jack & Bobby, but as far as music goes, I sleep to Stars A LOT. Or Young Galaxy, Lovage, The Dandy Warhols, The Postal Service, The Shins, blahblahblah
i like listening to talk radio shows or the, if i can catch it, the shipping forcast on bbc radoi 4.
i do. i havent been lately. but i usually always have music playing for me to fall asleep. i put my "sleep" playlist on, and hit the sleep button and then go to sleep listening to awesome music.
I used to, but for the last few years i've been falling asleep to the TV instead
I do. That's probably why I'm by far the most played artist on my own last.fm. I write go-to-bed music. I play it at volume level 1 (of 10).
@zephron - that's a good idea; i used to listen to talk radio while going to bed a long time ago, but i don't really have a radio at the moment
i used to fall asleep watching Bob Ross' "Joy of Painting" - that was the absolute best. but the local PBS channel doesn't seem to wanna show it any more.
man, if they have those on DVD, i should get 'em - the most calming, blissful 30 minutes ever.
(as Patton Oswalt puts it, the man is "like a human quaalude")

it's not a "must" for me, but i usually do go to bed listening to my IPod (which...i forgot down in the car, and i really don't feel like hobbling downstairs to get it)
