buzzcocks was not that good this week, the only good thing about it was simon trying to be more clever than stephen fry. and the ex-s club juniors girl, frankie, is RIDICULOUSLY STUPID.
last week was better; simon and phil miming to 'no air' was amazing.
i'm kind of drinking tonight too, having a few cider & blackcurrants in the flat. what are YOU drinking?

Yes, she was ridiculously stupid in an entertaining way, I'll have to keep an eye out for the repeat. I don't often catch it any more but Amstel's always good.
I bought some San Miguels on the way home. If I get through them and still have a thirst on I have bourbon.
I did 70 hours this week at work so am winding down with some pointless drunkery.

I still haven't properly drunksumated. I've gotten drunk and been on GTI some 2-3 hours later, but it's just not the same.

@ kirsty! : 70 hours isn't much fun no, but it wasn't too bad. Getting through today was hard though. I think I did more hours for the last Contemporary Show though back in June, which due to an administrative fuck up somewhere down the line I STILL haven't been paid for.
This time works out at 30 hours of overtime though which will be £585. Before the guvment and the student loans people get their hands on it that is. Bastards.

@ sweet cuppin cakes : I'm not sure I've ever properly drunksumated. I've got home drunk and typed babbling shit a few times but never intentionally sat down and purposefully boozed while conversing within a thread.

@ sweet cuppin cakes : Not really, no, but I was I think a bit more casually antagonistic or familiar there and you seemed occasionally a little edgier or less settled as you are here. Nothing major by any means it just felt like we maybe moved in the same circles but didn't really talk to each other. I feel things are more casually pleasant over here.
That's an overlong explanation of a less than rational comment. I need more beer.

@ kirsty! : Having been self-employed for many years I had thus far avoided giving them anything by being good with my accounting. I had planned to go as long as I could without giving them a fucking penny. Had I gone to university 3 years earlier, I would have been funded by grants so I always resented the expense, but not so long as I rationalised that they wouldn't get any of it until I could comfortably afford to pay any back.
My last paycheck however held a nasty little surprise when £200 or so was taken from me toward repayments. While I owe about £13,000, I was still hugely disappointed that they'd got anything out of me. Having worked what my boss literally referred to as "crazy hours' for a month, losing so much in deductions was considerably disheartening.

You're right though, I do feel more settled here. I think everyone does. The smaller community must be good for feeling more at home.

In the absence of any conservational interest, I am watching A.W.O.L., yes, the Jean Claude Van Damme film, on TV. It is amazingly bad. I am interested in it's editing style though, which seems to resemble that of story-led porn, in that there are brief moments of narrative progression interspersed with frequent protracted "action" scenes.
It's still shit though.

Personally, I still don't really feel at home around here. As I don't really have time to participate as frequently as I used to on Consumating I feel like a bit of an outsider round here, surplus to requirement.
You may owe me a hotdog, I don't know. So long as that isn't a euphemism, I am intrigued to this circumstance. A drunken wager perhaps?

Incidentally, not sure if you'll all have seen this ages ago, but I just saw a fun prank skit where Dustin Hoffman is invited to Italy to receive an award and is confronted by countless hired giants who want to give him a trophy specifically for being short. Oh and there's a tranny touching him up too. I thought it was funny.
