What was your last concert? How was it?

James. Last week. It was divine. I'm only just getting to the point where I can make words about the event.
Neko Case, she was brilliant.
I tried to go see M.S.I. tonight but it didn't work out. I was interested to see what the crowd looked like for that.
Hm. Hm, hm, hm. Well, I'm not counting comedy shows as concerts. And I'm not counting bands who might have performed at a comedy show as concerts. So... I saw the Clientele at the Knitting Factory last year. I'm not that big a fan -- was mostly there because some friends of mine were going, so why not? -- but it was nice enough. The sound was apparently bad, but I didn't notice it, maybe because I don't know THAT clearly what they were supposed to sound like. Opening band was nice, but they played some kind of organ-heavy dream-pop kind of thing, which usually sounds better live than it really is anyway.
I think my last concert was Jens Lekman. If that is the case and there wasn't another one after that then it was the greatest concert I've ever been to and capped off possibly the single greatest 24 period of my life.
Urmmmm, the last concert I paid for wasssss Brand New at the House of Blues in Chicago and it was a post-Lolla show and they played for 2.5 hours and it was amazing.
Mount Eerie (plus lots of experimental music) - It was pretty great. Normally if a concert doesn't have many people it's not a great deal of fun but this one had about 50 people standing in a semicircle around Phil Elverum while he did his thing. It was nice.

Ra Ra Riot.
left before they came on.
