I am so fucking happy I could cry.

Today I learned that I am ABSOLUTELY doing the right thing with my life.
I found an inmate locked in his cell this morning. He was unresponsive, and he quickly started seizing. We realized it was related to diabetes (his blood sugar was so low it wasn't registering on the glucometer) and while the doctor and the other nurses sat on their asses, I found glucose gel and got it down his throat.
By the time the doctor walked over 20 minutes later, he was sitting up and talking. If he hadn't gotten glucose, he most likely would have gone into cardiac arrest within minutes.
I actually think I helped save a life today.
I know there are people out there who wouldn't care less if a prisoner died, but to me it is just as valuable as anyone elses.
I'm meant to do this.
You saved a life! You should be happy!
How many of the rest of us folks can say the same?
You're doing good work, and the world could use more people like you.
I had to call 911 for a man having a seizure in front of my office building when i left today. It's nothing like what you do every day, but...
That's awesome! I worry about that happening to me. Especially now that I'm on the Insulin.
that gave me goosebumps. im happy for you!! i know youre floating. such a great feeling. ; ].
Shot talk: Did he stop eating or something?
Did you squirt the gel down this throat, or put it between his lips and gums? I've heard you can put it down by their gums like a tobacco chaw and it'll absorb that way.
If it wasn't for nomes, I'd be saying the same thing
But honestly, you have a heart of solid gold.
Good work Michelle. There should be more folks like you.
What are your feelings on cloning? :D
errrr, SHOP talk, I meant. but if you wanna take a shot, go right ahead. :-)
