It seems my "trial" upgrade to BT's broadband, which has lasted for I think 4 or 5 years, has ended, and I have been reverted back to a worthless and horrifyingly slow non-ADSL service which I thought they'd phased out years ago.

If I wasn't so busy with work those motherfuckers would be ditched so quickly that the act might well travel back in time and actually happen earlier.

Also my bank has decided, after consultation with it's customers, that they're not going to pay credit interest on current accounts any more, because you get far better rates with savings accounts. Great! As soon as I can afford to "save" money, in maybe 50 or 60 years, this'll be a real help. Thanks bank.
