So, I just told my grandma off because she forwarded to me one of those "Obama is a scary black man/muslim" emails, but without using the words: You FUCKING moron. Maybe I should've. But she is 80.

I may have also implied she was racist.
I'm not really worried so much about pissing her off though, since I've asked her repeatedly not to send me that shit.
In a way, you've done more than your part for The Great Schlep.
Actually, let me take it back I'm worried insofar as there may be fallout for my Dad, who doesn't need that shit.
@Kahn; who is the Great Schlep?
I have relatives whose emails I just send straight to my spam folder. I kind of wish I could have kept the internet from most of my family. They abuse it.
It's true PT. Maybe one should be licensed and bonded before given an email account.
Run, it's not a 'who.' It's a proposal by Sarah Silverman that everybody move to Florida to get their Jewish grandparents to vote Obama.
My family learned long ago to not even mention politics to me, much less send me political emails.
Errr, except the proposed "gas boycott".
Ah I see. Good thing I'm not Jewish then; I'm not sure Florida is not my idea of good times.
@previous toast: Yeah, I know. But at least it's based on a premise upon which we can all agree: current gas prices suck.
My dad forwarded me a Spanish version of the Obama is a scary black man/Muslim e-mail a while ago.
I told him to not be a dick, check his facts, and stop forwarding BS.
Pretty much those exact words, actually. He took it well and conceded the point.
I took it to be more than going to Florida to get your jewish grandparents to vote Obama. I mean the idea is bigger, to me. We all have scared and unjustly opinionated grandparents, not just jews.
Or, you know, parents.
I have yet to talk politics with my mom. I know she voted Bush in '00 and '04 though.
nah, i haven't actually spoken to her in years because i can't stand her. but yes, my mom and sister do have to suffer through her phone calls.
It wouldn't have surprised me if my grandma had a framed picture of JFK next to a framed picture of Jesus. I love my family. Staunch democrats, all of them. Huzzah!
Not family, but I had to chastise a good friend for sending me some nonsense ranting about "towelheads".
ugh.

Oh, my grandpa does that too. Along with "Real angel sightings," "Virus warning" emails, and that photoshopped picture of the airplane right before it hit the world trade center.
