Maybe it was a thank you for not closing your account as soon as you heard the news. Hold onto it for a while just in case. A old friend of mine magically had $1350 deposited in his account. He withdrew it and bought new electronics. Three weeks later, he was negative $1500 because they found out about the mistake.
Ugh. How annoying! They will probably take it back, but only when it's least convenient.
i am just watching it for now- i don't NEED need it, but i could sure use it!
i'm just leaving it alone- but i constantly have to remind myself that the total is not what it appears.
annoying!
@-j.= Are you still mad about the time I accidently deposited 3 cheesecakes and a pony into your house, only to take them back plus your couch a week later?
@Xenu: THAT'S where my couch went? Excuse me, folks, I believe I have a former housekeeper to apologize to.
Do you think there is a secret ethics council that does this kind of thing at random just to see if people will spend the money?
I wish those fuckasses would do that to me. How'd you wrangle that deal?
@consumatrix: i'm afraid to spend it, in case they decided to just as randomly take it back. so it just sits there, mocking me.
if they don't take it back, i'll share it with you, ok?
Is there a line item for the credit in your statement or online ledger?
nope.
it just appeared when i made a deposit for $250 the night of the "transition" and when i woke up i had $450. and everything else is correct- all the withdrawals and credits and everything.

it's confusing my budget and my checkbook.
