So on a serious note...
I've been high and dry for about two and a half months now, and it is all thanks to the kindness of a few of you guys that I've been able to just scrape by on the financial front.
Just as an update, yes I am still sick -- I'm starting to think that it's all stress and it's all in my head, so maybe I just need a whopping dose of Valium to get me through, har har.
But I wanted to say -- to the people that have sent me cash and helped me out, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you -- I hope you know even a fraction of how grateful I actually am. It might just be money, but it's really really helping me out.
Because some really really really kind person just sent me $200 (and another about $20!) I'm now only $156.47 away from making my bank account level. I'm going to contact them today and see if I can get some overdraft fees reversed -- I doubt it will work, but I have to try. (And for those of you who don't know -- I had written myself a credit card check so I could get some cash to pay a medical bill. The credit card check was expired, noted by a letter code on the check, that the teller didn't verify before cashing the check -- and ten days later they deducted the cash from my account and sent me a notice saying that the check was rejected and bad. Stupid goddamn teller should've checked the expiration date and not have even cashed it. h8 wamu so much. Never ever bank there.)
I know I'm rattling on, but thanks guys. It's good to know there's good people left in the world. Once this has all blown over (I'm set to go back to the doctor tomorrow night, back to work --hopefully-- on the 26th) I'll definitely be sending out some cookies.

i'm glad people are helping--it's good to know there are kind people out there, and people from consumating/gto/whatever have always been the type to step up. prepare for the backlash, though. plenty of people talked smack about me because i asked for help from my friends in these parts.

But I'm not going to sit here and beg for money. I know I'm certainly not the only person here in a financial tough spot -- I won't refuse the help if you're able, but I'm not going to beg you for money either. I'll make it through either way, nobody's going to come break my knees over it. I am extraordinarily grateful for the people that have helped me so far... this has been an enduring and awful state of affairs (and I wouldn't even mention it except at this point, with three payday loans out already, I'm kind of between a rock anda hard place).
And if anyone wants to backlash, they've never been in a situation where they've got less than a dollar in the bank, no food in the pantry, and nobody in their family that's in a position where they can lend you $20 to go buy dinner. No, I'm not exaggerating. I've been in that very situation several times in the past few months. Not fun. Anyone wants to laugh at and mock that? Go ahead.

I didn't know about this til yesterday since movie jobs with 12-18 hour days have kept me almost totally off the internet for months now. Not complaining - I love my job and am lucky to have work. I feel terrible that I didn't know, though.
Mainly, I'm incredibly glad to hear that things are going a little better, enough at least that you might go back to work. I still can't be on the internet a lot, but my thoughts are with you.
