OK, I'm back from Toronto. Film Fest was fantastic, the city itself and its people amazing and now I want to move there. So what's new with you? What'd I miss...?

personally, I really dug:

THE WRESTLER (Aaronfsky/Mickey Rourke)
THE HURT LOCKER (Kathryn Bigelow Iraq war bomb disposal unit action-drama)
VINYAN (surreal/descent-into-hell drama-thriller concerning a husband/wife searching for their son, lost in the Tsunami)
EVERY LITTLE STEP (documentary on the creation of A CHORUS LINE, paralleled w/the recent auditions for its revival)
SLUMDOG MILLIONARE (Danny Boyle-directed film about a streetwise kid who won India's version of WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONARE)

THE DUCHESS also wasn't bad, given that it wasn't my cup of tea - well made, acted
