@Matt - Can we be friends now? I count no less than three things in this thread alone that make me think you're probably awesome.
@FiZ - I don't think i've heard them...
@Marry - Oh, MRY, you and your Bon Iver. You should go stream their latest session on NPR right now. It's awesome.
1. You appreciate the Avett Bros.
2. Carter family TAPE
3. Flea market in COLORADO!
Pete Townshed::Empty Bottle.
I bought it on vinyl last year in Milwaukee. I was so fucking excited.
But I'm pretty stoked about Jenny Lewis' new album.
hmmmm... I am pretty wary of it. I don't know how I feel about the first single. :S
I haven't heard it. I just heard a bunch of the songs live over the past year and am pretty excited. Plus i may go see her in Nashville w/ Conor Oberst. His album was pretty good.
Yes. I'd love to go. The only show I have planned as a definite is Ted Leo in Oklahoma.
I need a southern show buddy. Ha.
Bravery, Repetition and Noise - Brian Jonestown Massacre
First record of theirs I bought, after discovering them and falling madly in love. Dreamy sigh.
@erinzzz: BG is a german (i don't know which sub-genre exactly) metal band, I

@erinzzz: BG is a german (i don't know which sub-genre exactly) metal band, I &hearts the music a lot.
@Britt- Good call!
@CR- Maybe I have heard them, you just described my ex's music collection.
@FarmrFrmPt'n'Pt- That explains so much, actually.
last one i was really excited for was Feed the Animals. i dunno what i'm going to be excited for next.
@skanko - This was in this month's Wired:http://www.wired.com/special_multimedia/2008/pl_music_1609
Rad.
@erinzzz - thats pretty sweet.
if you go to the wikipedia page for FEED THE ANIMALS someone has broken down every sample (or close to it) and at what time they come in in each song, its INSANE how many samples are in each song. i can't wait to see him in nyc in november. its gonna be ridiculous.
That'll be an awesome show, fo' sho'. My friend saw him in Seattle not too long ago and commented that he has one sweet Jewfro so there's something else to look forward to, haha
itll be a sweaty hipster filled party. i dont even care though, the music will be so good ill be able to deal with the rest.
well, yeah, I never take into account the actual CROWD when I think a show will be good or not since I hate 99.9% of all concert goers.
oh absolutely. im going to see the bouncing souls next friday and i dont even care ill be surrounded by a bunch of 15 year olds who dont know what punk is if it bit them in the face, cuz the show will still be great.
We were all waiting for the follow up to Tragic Kingdom
It finally came
It disappointed,
Like nothing had ever disappointed before.
Still...
It gave me a song to listen to every year thereafter on my birthday. :)

the kills :: midnight boom
WHAT DID YOU GET?
