Totally liveblogging the VMA's, cos I've got nothin else going on tonight.

The show SUCKED, as was expected. Whatever, MTV. I will never forgive you for awarding Britney a VMA over CHRIS BROWN.

And Usher was awesome in his heyday so STFU.
tiff -- she did the intro, but she didnt perform. She just looked awkward the entire time.
Man, EVERYBODY looked awkward. Especially that poor bastard Brand; it's like nobody wrote any material for him at all.
Art -- I thought the same thing. I couldn't tell if he was going off-script or if someone wrote him some seriously shitty material or something.
I mean, I thought his whole tirade was hilarious, but it was inappropriate for the VMAs, and not in a wacky "HAHA THAT WASNT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN LOL THE VMAS ARE SO EDGY" kinda way. More like the "....am I supposed to laugh or grimace, cos I'm totally grimacing." kinda way.
I'd like to say it's a generational thing, but seriously, every single element of this show feels recycled. Right now Christina is doing her version of 2007 Madonna, and it's not really bad, but the lack of novelty just seeps through. And how bad is the talent pool when MTV has to jock the Jonas Unibrow and High School Musical?
I didn't like how a few of the performers performed more than once. I didn't get that at all.
Bring the VMAs back to Radio City :C
That and for cripes' sakes, let's bring back actual rock bands. And I don't mean friggin' Slipknot.
Slipknot was RANDOM. Maybe it's cos I haven't listened to regular radio in AGES AND AGES, and I haven't watched MTV for music in like 7 or 8 years, but I didn't even know they were still relevant.
@Sven - Usher? awesome? sure, if by awesome you mean complete bullshit.
@Art - really? you can get that guy nobody knows form England, but you can't get Future of the Left??

They had to give her something after what happened last year. I didn't see any of it. Did Brit Brit do anything?
