I just bought some new shirts. Ahh, retail therapy! Please tell me about your recent purchases so we can be all materialistic together.

I have so many things I couldn't for them all into my new apartment. And I say I'm an anti-capitalist...
Anyway, most recently I ALMOST bought a vintage blue-and-white apron, and I did buy a whole bunch of Neil Gaiman books I hadn't read/owned yet. Oh! And cutesy twee polka dot barrettes.
i bought a couch today. it's enormous and green. now we have a place to sit in our house. it's nice.
and i bought some new underwear, because i was down to two pairs, because my dog keeps eating my underwear.
um.
i rarely buy things that aren't necessary, like food...
hmmmm. i've bought a lot of stuff recently, but i just completed a cross-country move by plane and couldn't take much with me.
i'm really pleased with my new dishes. i consider a bunch of designs and colors but eventually went with plain white porcelain, but in interesting shapes. white doesn't clash with anything, and unlike the stoneware the porcelain is oven-, microwave-, and dishwasher-safe. the designs are faintly asian; i got them at a pretty nice place in chinatown.
on that note, i love my new-ish stainless-steel chopsticks. i used to go through too many chopsticks; even the lacquered wood ones didn't last long enough.
i like my new cell-phone, with its sliding-keyboard jobby. i'm trying to get it to interact properly with Twitter and Remember the Milk so that it can remind me what i have to do today.

The things you own end up owning you.
