All I have on the agenda is Cat Power in October. IF SHE SHOWS UP THIS TIME. It's a make-up show from when she canceled in April.
It's too hot here for me to even consider going to shows for at least another month.

Finntroll Wednesday night

i dont think i have any shows coming up actually. segue to my conversation.
My friends are trying to get me to go to Treasure Island Music Festival, but the only artist I care to see there is John Vanderslice. Not too too thrilled about the others.
Seeing Built to Spill next week.
Sigur Ros in October.
My friend Paul's band is playing tonight, but I'm too lazy and unmotivated to go. Too bad, they're pretty awesome.
Where is Broken Social Scene playing?????
@BellePepper: I'm seeing them in Boston. There's a list of their shows here-
@mamanese: Thanks for the tip, lady! But damn, no shows in SF. I feel like flying to NY to see them. :
I'm going to see Calexico, Silver Jews, Mirah and all of the folks playing at Treasure Island MF that BellePepper just mentioned above.
Wait, I must have missed those other bands in the line-up b/c I'd be happy to see any of them! Hmmm...
I'm in Portland and I missed out on Britt Daniels and Built To Spill. It's for MFNW and I didn't know about it til I got here earlier in the week and the wristbands were sold out or something. Plus I thought I'd be in canada. FAIL!
Once upon a time, my (ex-) bf and I few to Ohio to 1) attend one of his running events, 2) visit an old friend of mine, and 3) see Ratatat. We made a really LONGGGGG-ASS drive to see Ratatat at this tiny, private liberal arts college, only to find the band walking around trying to figure out where to get amps. Yeah, long drive, no show. Just 2 really bummed-out band members, and a really disappointed couple from San Francisco who made this crazy trip to see them.

Please let me know how fucking awesome Carcass is. I am just so fucking fucking fucking excited for that show. Do we have the same lineup, or do you get Pig Destroyer as well? We've got Suffocation, 1349, Aborted and Rotten Sound. I'm stoked for Rotten Sound as well and as much as I don't really like their releases, 1349 is great live.
@ss - we got Necrophagist in NY. I kinda wish they'd just left it as 5 bands.
Carcass, of course, owned. I kinda thought Bill wasn't going to do any vocals all night, but he sang all his parts on the "symphonies" stuff. They only did 2 songs from that though.
Ken Owen showed up and played. He didn't play a song or anything, but it was awesome to see him playing.
Rotten Sound were my other favorite band of the night. They sounded better than they did at MDF last year. I skipped Aborted. Suffocation played a new song (but they still didn't play "suspended in tribulation". . .denied)Who's playing drums for 1349 on this tour? I only caught the last 3 songs, but I saw them last year.
I thought PD were on the Baltimore show. . .which one are you going to?
Thanks for the review, I am really so stoked for this. Seriously more stoked than I have been in ages.
I'm going to the San Francisco show at this venue that I don't much like, but really, who the hell cares. CARCASS.
Tony Laureano (Brujeria, Angelcorpse, Nile, Nachtmystium, etc... etc... etc...) is drumming for 1349 these days. He was on their last tour here as well (and is an old friend). They really do put on a great live show and I think that everything is better with corpsepaint. Heh.

All within the next month and a half.
